Hospital Ward
Life in the Hospital
The hospital ward is designated solely for the radiology department and is a one-story building with 50 beds. Your impression of this ward would be somewhat different from that of a conventional hospital, as special consideration has been given to create a calm and inviting environment. This is where patients undergoing particle beam radiation therapy spend their time as inpatients.
We took special care to create a pleasant environment for the inpatients that incorporates the blessings of nature in Nishi-Harima.

The patient's rooms are open with a pleasant private-room-like atmosphere. The 4-bed rooms are equipped with a toilet in each ample room, and although it is a shared room, there is enough living area to maintain one's privacy.
From each bedside, you are able to view the outside scenery from your window, and you can savor the rich natural environment and enjoy the fresh air.
At the entrance of each patient's room is the room number, along with the name of a flower. The name of the flower of a city or district within Hyogo Prefecture is used, such as "Cherry Blossom" or "Rose." The flower of Shingu-cho, in which our Center is located, is the azalea.

On the other side of the pond from the Medical Ward is the Dining Hall. It has a bright and relaxed atmosphere with warm lighting. We have been creative in our attempts to have the patients enjoy their meals, just as if they were eating in their normal life, and we use Seto china for their tableware.
