Nursing Section Overview
At HIBMC, our medical staff acts as a team in supporting patients receiving
cancer treatment. The Nursing Section supports patients to ensure that
they receive treatment safely and comfortably. As we pursue expertise in
nursing for particle beam radiation therapy, we aim for a kind of care
where nurses live and think in close concert with the patient. We are making
efforts to provide dependable and warm nursing care so that each patient
can live his/ her life in a unique and fulfilling way. We offer patients
support to be able to make their own decisions about their medical care
so that they will be satisfied with the choices they make.

Nursing Section Activities
In order to have people understand particle beam radiation therapy and
to provide treatment with least amount of pain, the Nursing Section works
with other departments and engages in various approaches.
●Nutritional Support for Patients Receiving Particle Beam Radiation Therapy
For those patients who are unable to eat their meals due to stomatitis (mouth ulcers) or pain, nurses, nutritionists, doctors, pharmacists and the nutritional support team work together to support the patient's meal consumption.
Also, the nurses and nutritionists make efforts to come up with and educate patients about meals (blended meals) that are suited for their oral condition. (Photo: blended meals)
