• As the world's only facility that can utilize both proton and carbon-ion beams, HIBMC actively engages in fundamental research.
• We conduct joint research for projects with the Japan Atomic Energy Agency as their satellite facility for "the Big Projects" (large-scale fundamental research).
• We have won the competitive funds from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, "Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research," and engage in highly innovative research projects.
